Colorado's climbs tend to be forever long; the climbs in NH and Vermont are much shorter, but they can also be much, much steeper. Pick your poison. Basically, if you can cruise up the big passes in NH (Pinkham, Crawford, Jefferson, Kancamagus, etc) -- you can handle the big climbs in Colorado.
