Been reading here for about a week and thought it was time to sign up. As is often the scenario, I'm just now getting back into biking after a long (5 year) layoff. I've been caretaking a back injured wife(who's now on the mend!) and two boys (both off to college in only 10 more days!!) so now have some time to ride. Alas, since I last got on a bike I've aged (55) and gained 30 lbs(210). Live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area so I have plenty of good riding days available (if you like hot, which I do).
Since my oldest had my bike(and his bike, and a new one) stolen at The Univ. of Arizona I need a new bike (darn). Pretty much settled on a Roubiax until the evil man at the LBS showed me a Madone. Looks like more test rides in store for me. Things have sure changed over the years.
