since the reason i (we) ride fixed gear is for the shock value to other cyclists, this is the perfect place to ride fixie. there is no other group of cyclists that exhibit the elitest mentality more than the tt guys. they go out and drop several grand on a tt machine, and you should go and kick their collective a**! doing that is alot of fun, but make sure that you adopt a "pro's from dover" mentality when you do so, some of them just might cry...

previous post is correct you do need a front brake. however, you do not need the gay bike holder guy to hold your seat, just a good trakstand at the start line, and make sure you rip a killer skid across the finish line...
