I'll agree it *looks* like the 08, but closeups of the ebay listing sure look like a repaint to me. If the frame is essentially the same, repaint and re-decal to a current scheme would be easier and would mask the fact it was an older bike.

That said, only a serial # would tell for sure, all else is speculation.

Not that it doesn't happen. Had a friend get a custom carbon fiber hood (car) stolen. Several weeks later it popped up on eBay. I bought it and we had the police there when we took delivery. *That* was one fun day.
