Bikes: Many and varied

I use Dutch-Perfect tires. If anything can get through them then the tire is not ridable. Carry a pump, but it is only for self defense, thinking on it, it probably doesn't even fit the Dunlop valves of the bike I'm on today. Oh, yes, I have an adapter in a puncture repair kit.

Built my tool kit up over the years, and most of it is titanium for weight reasons, (actually I've worked in places where ferrous materials are banned, but it got you all going... ;-) )

Carry a couple of star shaped Allan key and hex nut wrenches.

A small adjustable wrench, one just big enough for the biggest nut on the bike, which'll probably be holding your wheels on. You won't believe how strong you get when you're in the middle of nowhere, so not too big otherwise you'll strip a thread.

A bottle of oil, oily rag and a pair of disposable gloves, for when the chain decides to take a different line (it can be bumpy enough to unseat a chain on my route)

Puncture kit and chain tool. These are not actually for me, but a good way to get chatting to pretty damsels in distress I discover on the commute.
