Since I suppose I started this whole early roll-out idea, here's the thing. There's a group of folks I ride with regularly most Saturdays. There's another group I ride with during the week. Sometimes the groups intermingle, sometimes they don't.
So, on the MS ride in Lancaster County in July, I rode with the weekday group. The weekend group gave me a boatload of baloney about "ditching" them. All in jest. Anyway, I promised to join the "ditched" team on the Covered Bridge ride.
And they're leaving at 7:30. And if I leave later, I don't have a prayer of catching them.
Plus, I've gotten used to riding earlier in the mornings on the weekends, and kinda like getting done by noon! More time to hang around, talk, etc. And I'd much rather hang around AFTER the ride is done than during when my legs get stiff way too quickly. Quick water stops, a limited lunch stop, and an extended post-ride hangout are my plan
