It's got some decent components on it but there are pretty irrelevant compared to the frame. The guy who I bought it from said he acquired it from the owner of a LBS who ordered it from Bob Jackson. If you can shed any light on this frame that would be great. If anyone knows the approx value that would be great too. Thanks.
You just bought the bike and want to know what the value is? To you it must be worth at least what you paid for it. To everybody else who saw the advert before you it was apparently worth less than what you paid for it. There is no set value for bikes like tandems. You can often walk away with apparent screaming deals on tandems because the people who are selling usually are simply happy to get rid of the bike; whereas the buyers can usually be picky as it is rare that you come across one that is perfectly your size. If you paid less than $400 you got a deal. If you paid more than $1800 you likely paid too much.
PS: I have a short wheelbase Bob Jackson racing tandem and know that the bike is worth far more to me than the price I could ever hope to get for the bike.
