Yo Mark... the price isn't really that reasonable is the thing. $300 could buy you a set of handbuilts with nice spokes/rims and be plenty bombproof.

Also, they're not aero. Not that it matters much on the street.

But the real deal for me is this: if you crack an Aerspoke, say you slipped in a corner and your buddy accidentally ran it over (I saw this happen actually), you're out $300. If the same thing happened to a spoked wheel, you'd be out the price of some spokes (cheaaaaaaap!) and possibly a rim. That's not very practical... they're a wheel bought for looks only dude. This is coming from a guy who rides his Specialized Tri Spoke on the street from time to time...
