I've grown to expect that drivers won't stop at all...so when they do, it's STILL not guaranteed to be safe, because there might be someone else behind them....
Yeah ... being a motorcyclist for a long time has helped me to be a better cyclist and viceversa.
It is nice to seat tall on the saddle, since I can spot behind cars fairly easily.
The car that was dodged was not an SUV but a Mini Cooper. It did not hurt my chances that the car was so small.
