Not for nothing but you can always trun the bike up side down and work
on it. It's not the most convenient, but it gets the job done....for free.
Until I bought a stand I used to flip all my bikes over with the wheels in the air,
Mtn Bikes, road bikes, even the tandem. A couple of pieces of wood under
the handle bar and a some ingenuity and you're getting down to business
with the repair.
