i made a thread about something similar awhile ago. my findings:

- most people who ride fixed only ride fixed*
- most people who say they ride both only ride free, but insinuate that they ride both-- which is odd, as they usually have a cog on their fixed side.

* on their single speed bike; obviously, many of us have geared bikes as well.
