After he handed me the ticket, which he didn't call a ticket, he just said, "This is for you, and I've confiscated your license..." I actually laughed and said, "Wow - you're really taking my license? Officer, would a warning be more appropriate in this situation?"

I figured it was worth a shot. When he said, "No," I laughed again. It really was pretty funny.
