The avatar is a not-so-great close-up of the menuki on a Rob Douglas wakisashi I recently acquired. There is no "z" in the way he spells it, and he is Canadian, so perhaps that is the way they spell it. He aspires to be a mastersmith, and is apprenticing under Wally Hayes, Mastersmith. This is my first sword.
