crashes: rarely to never
last time i fell biking must have been when i was like 12
close calls: occasionally to infrequently
in SF i have had a couple of cagers( read: 3 in the last few years) try to make a gap in traffic on a left turn while on cell phones and come within a few inches/feet of splattering me
in SB i just have to deal with drunken idiots/freshman girls on beach cruisers which is more likely to actually make me crash, but less likely to kill me
