I don't care if cops don't care - and yeah I've run into that and I am actually working with the police department downtown on this as well - trying to work out this fact that what happens to us bicyclists ...

I've been threatened big time - even had a big 300 lb line backerish type roll out of his car with his car rolling because I basically told him - and with NO swear words that "I really wish he would read again the NYS driver's manual because he's missing things - OK so I may have added a nasty about who I work with an ride with (several of the downtown bicycle police) and the statement (or fact cause I can do it) take a pic of the idiot's plate and take it back to the head of the one downtown police HQ and have him or someone give some instruction as to what goes on in the road (head of downtown btw just took a nice faceplant - due to some driver's dumb move ...).
