No real reason. It just seems strange(not wrong) to wear a local team's garb if you don't ride for them in any capacity. I don't think it's gay or anything.
yet at the same time it's the small local teams that can use the financial support that coms from selling a few kits, unlike most pro teams. to me it makes sense.
