Oh, a little rust never hurt anyone. It's unusual to have so much rust that it actually gets anywhere close to affecting the structural integrity of your frame. Just keep the paint intact and the frame dry and it will outlast you. FrameSaver or similar products definitely don't hurt. I hear these products are messy, and you should probably strip the frame down first before applying. Gives you an excuse to give it a good cleaning anyway.
