How much can you salvage from a good wreck?

Yesterday was the saddest day of my biking life. I hit a curb doing 15-18mph (bad driving on my part), catapulted myself into the air and hit a road sign with my back. I am lucky I am not dead. My beloved LHT, however, had her frame split almost in two right behind the weld of the top tube and the fork. She was my only bike; my first "real" bike, and a beautiful commuter that is sadly not more.

Even as my stitches heal and every muscle in my body hurts, my thoughts turn to more practical matters. What kind of salvage job can I expect? If you taco the front wheel, is the hub still usable? Can you bend a tubus rack back into shape and expect it to hold up? Is a stem that looks okay still trust worthy after such a catastrophic wreck? If all the components are still okay, then I can probably get away with a new wheelset, saddle, and frame. If not then...

The bike I was going to buy as a fixie conversion, just became my next geared commuter

Thanks for any direction.
