As someone who has actually played badminton in a tournament, it is a terrific, hard pounding and exhausting activity with loads of strategy that has been ruined by those stupid backyard "badminton sets" that aren't worth diddly, and degrade the sport. Besides, badminton simply can not be played properly outside.
So I guess all those hours of fun my family and neighbors had playing badminton in our back yard was degrading and improper. I would never have guessed it. I was pretty sure we were having fun.
