Luckily the entry point for even a cheap aircraft with suitable insurance, ignoring micro lights etc. is considerably above that of a cheap car where insurance is optional for scofflaws.
Please think about the following - do insurance companies, vehicle manufactures and most powers that be, actually have a vested interest in further accidents, stolen cars, etc.?
