I've been on a campaign to ride every day for the remainder of this year and all of next year (no excuses barring catastrophic illness or injury). This weekend has been the first challenge to that, as I've had some sort of energy sapping summer cold. But I persevered.
Yesterday I handled it by doing the normal checkout routine out my bike, and taking a twenty minute ride around East Atlanta village. This morning I stretched the time to forty minutes, and plan on running a few errands on my bike this evening.
If I discount general laziness, the main barriers to daily riding for me are weather and travel. I've handled weather by equipping an old Peugeot steel frame bike with fenders. Travel is a bit more of a problem, but I won't have to travel over the next few months, so I can mull over possible solutions for awhile.
