Yea i like his bike but he just bought it ohh 8 months ago brand new and rides it several times a week as exercise so asking to borrow it isnt gonna fly lol. His old bike is the one he had in college, a green 3 speed shwin. Im not sure of the brand of either.

Yea im starting to lean towards getting a new bike as Grim suggested because im 6'1" and the seat is as high as it can go. I knew the knobby tires weren't ideal for pavement but when i do go trail riding (not talking flat old RR path im talking about hiking trails in the woods and such where sometimes you have to walk it up the hill) its nice to have traction.

But i already had this bike and didn't need to go spend lots more money. I will eventually get one (maybe sooner if my repairs keep breaking) because im going to be riding 2 miles at a minimum every day just to get to classes, thats not counting going to town or going to he cafeterias. I figure I might as well be comfortable and not all sweaty/soaking wet when i get to class.

So any bike shop ought to be able to fit me to a bike and tell me what size works for me? Theres 3 in the area i can check out.
