Sunny & low 60s for the commute in this morning! Was strange to see military helicopters patrolling down town Denver! Not to mention the parades of Police riot patrols and Homeland Security vehicles.

I doubt this is related to the DNC being in town, but someone had placed 2x4s across the trail under at least 3 of the underpasses along my way to work. I hit the one as I went under Federal on the BCT! GRR!! The other three had been removed as I had done with the one under Federal. I managed to keep the bike and myself upright. There does not appear to be any damage to the bike nor to me. Was one HECK of a wake-up call!

Be careful out the my Denver commuting friends!

One other note, if you get off of the PRT under Speer just north of Eliches you will have to detour back to the west side of the Platte to get up to 15th Street as the trail access under Speer is fenced off.
