How do you figure the road is safer than a MUP? On a MUP bikes are pretty much the fastest things on them... so it is YOU who are aware of others (not the other way around).

Well, safer is proportional to how likely you are to crash into someone or something, and how bad those crashes are. I haven't been hit by a car in 17 years. Do you think you can survive that long on the MUP?
