I used to work at the shop. I didn't pay $700. I think if it was Russian, the nines in the hand etched serial number would look like lower-case g's. (Cyrillic) There's another Ti frame at the shop, not triple-triangle, road-drops. I'm not sure if it's a relative, but it's equally lacking in demarcations. I'll see what the sticker on that one says.

I think Titan is my favorite answer, but anything handmade by Bob Furry would have been more expensive, unless it was dumped post-merger.

Perhaps after Bob resigned, they made some Ti bikes to try to lure pro-riders, but were unsuccessful and sold them off.

Anybody got a line on a Ti road/cross fork with a 1" steerer long enough for the 210mm head-tube? I can cut it and (re)thread it, but I can't make it longer.
