A while back I got hold something I never thought I could come across & that I always wanted, an old Colnago! Its not quite as old as I woulda liked being an early 90s, and I thought of maybe selling or trading it in hopes for a nice 70s race frame.. but after thinking about I should stick with this, especially since I would end up going rather custom with the build some might cringe in a way at the sight for a 70s machine.
This build will probably be kinda slow as i'm just coming off a busted hand (road race crash), plus I'm waiting for a few bits to come in the mail, but for the build im gonna swap the steel fork for straight blade carbon fork I have. Its actually rather attractive I find with a polished alloy crown, plus the straight blades are fitting for 90s colnago. The steer tube is threaded cromoly so im using a quill stem (my favorite 3t head).
the spacing is 130, so I might as well go 10 speed cassette. I bought some 10 speed bar cons for my race bike in case I cant shift STI shifter anymore with my injury so Im gonna use those on this bike, and maybe pick up another set for my race bike if that is indeed the case.
Almost allparts are gonna be dura ace.. not sure about the crank or brake levers just now... might just use what I can dig up in the mean time... was thinking even non aero levers cause I just love the look, I also really wanna use old crankset with milled arms.

my favorite brakes ever

more goody!
