The shifting has to do with shifters, chainrings and chain. The crank has less or nothing to to with it.
As long as the chainrings are pinned and ramped you can't really go wrong, unless you try some 34-53 combination.
FSA, Campa, Stronglight......... Tried them all. Can't say one is better than another. DA (7800) felt bit stiffer maby.
