I just had a run-in with a car and will be getting a new bike out of it. I'm thinking of building up a CAAD9 with my custom (or whatever--pick your phrase) choice of components for exactly the reasons you specified--the feel of the frame, the reliability, and the price. I figure if I spend a little less on a great frame with little flash appeal I can spend a lot more on fancy parts. That new Record 11 speed is speaking to me. But back to your bike--it's nice looking. A good, solid, no BS race bike.
