Isn't it ironic that European and Japanese component and tubing makers have adopted "English" measurements?
As noted 28.6 mm is 1-1/8", 31.8 mm is 1-1/4" and 34.9 mm = 1/1/4". Even the new "oversize" handle bar diameter of 31.8 mm is actually 1-1/8" also.
