You're right, $929 is a good price for that bike, but not because of a carbon fork. Keeping it below a big ugly 4 digit figure is important even thought the difference is negligible and would be up over a grand with tax. Still, below a grand is good.
Especially for what is clearly a stab at innovation, simplification and utility without sacrificing appearances. Form and function pleasantly blended.
It would be hard for anyone to beat that price with a similar offering in a production model. Especially if all of the features presented at TrekWorld make it into production.
