This thread has gotten kinda freakish when people started posting modern bikes with track dropouts. I used to ride a fixie conversion back in '80 or so, it just worked for me, and I lived in the mountains. I made the frame, didn't modify it. I hope someone is still enjoying that bike, sold it when I got my degree, didn't have the room.
But some of the bikes that are revered in this forum just floor me, they are only rare because their brothers ended up in a steel recycling center where they belonged.
