Bent spider on FSA MegaExo timing crank
I have managed to bend one of the spiders on my FSA MegaExo timing crank. More precisely, the END BIT of one of the timing arms supporting my 42 tooth FSA timing ring (with Ultegra 10 speed chain) is out of kilter, bent towards the frame. By the "end bit" I mean the last centimetre of so which is machined thiner to support the part of the timing ring where it is bolted to the ring with T-30 FSA bolts.
My LBS recommends putting a wrench on this part of the spider arm and trying to bend it back to verticle, ie into the same plane as the others. I am nervous about this. Has anyone tried similar? Difficult? How can you try to get the arms straight again?
Thanks,
