....we have gotten some rain in WNC. Dusty dry has given over to wet tacky soil and slick roots and rocks.
A long climb up clawhammer found us in off and on rain. As we got closer to the top of the mountain we were blanketed in a thick, misty fog that gave a strange "Lord of the Rings" feel to everything. This was the best ride of the summer for me. There's nothing like a good long decent of the wet gnar.......

The Black Mountain parking lot found us unloading in a steady light rain......
