I took a nice and hilly route behind my house in the colorado foothills. It was lots of fun except for a nose bleed at around mile 10. I had to scramble down a steep hill to get to a river and I washed my face there. A bunch of bikers rode by me, and when they saw me they looked pretty horrified. I guess it was pretty bloody. Other than that, a great ride. you can see from the elevation profile, from about mile 10.5 to mile 11.5, it is a pretty steep section averaging 9% grade.
