It's agile for a "hybrid" and feels more like a road bike with straight handlebars than either a comfort bike or mountain bike. The brake pads that came with it wore out somewhat quickly (although I do live in SF and have to navigate a number of downhill city streets) but I've liked everything else about it.
Compared to my '88 Sirrus (which compared to the '07 is a Thoroughbred to a Quarter Horse as in '88 the Sirrus was a Road racing machine) I've said before that if I dropped some drop bars and brifters on the '07 it would be a sweet touring bike. The ride isn't all that different between the '88 and the '07 it's just the '07 was designed with it's frame angles just a skidge more relaxed so that fenders and racks would fit.
