I'm good. I evacuated and am still glad I did. That being said, they don't want to let us back into the city until Wed at the earliest and I don't see any reason for that at all. I am with family and friends, so I'm lucky but a lot of people are either in hotels they can't really afford or at shelters.

All of this posturing by every politician involved is going to make people much more reluctant to leave in the future. In the 'old days', you could figure on leaving for the day of the storm and coming home when it was over or when it became a non-event. I think that's one reason 80% of the city evacuated before Katrina. My fear is that for the next one, a whole lot of people will be reluctant to leave.
