A pair of B.17 saddles showed up via FedEx yesterday and I spent about an hour playing with them and getting them mounted before going for a ride. The girlfriend took one look and shook her head in disbelief, and then let out a sigh when she knocked on the hard leather. I really had to talk her into keeping an open mind. We got the bikes outside, jumped on.... and.... Pure comfort, right out of the box. We were both surprised with how comfortable they were right away, and if they're going to only get better, it's easily the best option I've spent money on to improve both bikes. We only went about 5 miles, but it was the most comfortable 5 miles I've ever ridden.

I also received a couple of cateye cycle computers, so my base touring bikes are just about ready. After a few weeks of breaking the saddles in, we may attempt that 60 miles trip that we decided against this past weekend. I'm glad we decided to wait until the saddles arrived...
