This is my current ride, a Concord Selecta 12 "Freedom Deluxe." I pulled it out of the basement in June and have been using it as a commuter and general transportation bike since. The old boy needs some tarting up, such as new grip tape, and before winter sets in there are some things on the agenda, but after a hundred miles a week plus for three months I'm utterly in love with this bike.

I would appreciate any information on the Concord brand in general and this specific model. Obviously, it was a pretty high end machine in its day. I read somewhere that Concord was made by Fuwahara, but I've been unable to confirm even that. The bike is one a friend didn't want to take to Colorado (he had a fancier one he did take) so he gave it to us. This caused a couple of dropped jaws at the LBS when I got the pannier rack, and a scream of envy from a wheeler dealer who refurbishes garage sale finds at ridiculous profit. Everyone around my favorite coffee house agrees it's a very Steave bike, and I'd like to inflict the details on them.
