My problem therein lies being able to keep up with the XC ****ers that I ride with that like to middle-ring the climbs. No way I could do it on a Bullit...hence I'm back to the hardtail as well.

Can't afford to have 2 nice bikes. Always flipping back and forth in my mind though about a Heckler to do it all.
You need a B4X...under 30lbs, wind the Pike down (and lock the shock if you feel it necessary) for climbing and XC riding, then let it rip in the corners (corners soooooo good), on the descents, and in the air. I'll be using it for shuttling tonight and a XC race on Saturday...it's damned versatile.
