AFAIK with the Downtube you can easily add a longer stem for a more stretched out position. The fold won't be so compact but the ride could be more easily tailored for a taller person. I'm about 5'11" and my dahon Vitesse fits OK, but I've long legs and a short body. Then again, I've seen people on this forum who have very elegantly fitted drop bars on their Dahons without compromising the fold, so there are options.
