As others have pointed out, this is pure marketing. There is no reason to expect to see a "performance increase" from a ceramic bearing in an application that sees maybe a twenty degree range of motion.

The only possible benefit I can see is weight, if the ceramic version is in fact lighter than it's traditional counterpart.
