God I hate this intersection so much. In a really bad traffic jam it looks more like this:



where all the orange wants to go to the BU bridge, the magenta wants to get onto Comm ave, and all the red wants to go to Storrow drive, which are both always backed up because they are merges. Yes, it really does get this bad at rush hour. The green line is the bike lane.

I do what apricissimus does and stay to the left. I do believe, however, that the bike lane has helped guide new bikers so that they don't get caught in the BU bridge merge and end up trying to cross two lanes of angrey drivers to get back onto Comm ave.
