Performance had the Roubaix Pro in their August sale ad for 999 with their usual 10% in free stuff. I ordered one, and by the time it came in, they had knocked the Roubaix RC (better wheels and Ultegra shifters) down to 1099 (was 1400). Plus, I'd gotten a 10% off coupon in the mail... but wait, it gets better. A couple days later, all the bikes in the store were tagged 15% off. They refunded the extra 5% back. Final cost: $935 for the RC and $93.50 in free stuff. Gotta love model year-end and a slow economy.
