The market price for that rig is no longer near that high. It is too old and running 9spd - regardless of it being DA - to demand that kind of price.

Is it a great ride? Yes. Are the components great? Yes. It just doesn't hold a market presence anymore. The seller would be lucky to get $1k for it. More like in the $800 range IMHO. If he doesn't like it tell him to keep it and ride it himself.
