Some more info on barend shifter pod compatibility?

I’ve read this thread: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=369149 and have a few more questions I was hoping somebody could answer for me.

I’ve got a set of Shimano SL-A410 downtube shifters that are very similar to the SL-A400 shifters mentioned in the linked thread. Before I buy the Rivendell barend shifter pods, has anybody had specific experience with the A410’s on the pods? As far as I can tell, the only difference between my A410’s and the A400’s is that the A410’s are index only w/no friction mode, but I’m not sure. Anybody know for sure before I pony up the cash?

Also, my A410’s came with the concave shifter boss washers. Anybody have a good source for the flat ones I’d need to mount them to the pods? And while I’m at it, does anybody have a spare pair of the finger-adjustable mounting screws (like the ones in the photos in the linked thread)? My A410’s came with mounting screws that can only be adjusted by screwdriver.

I can't seem to get a photo of the A410's to load but here's a link to one:
