- Two smaller cables means an old style Tikit. I got mine in late 2007 and it was the new single cable design

- most likely you just need to put a touch of lube on the inside of the "C" shaped silver clamp - that will let it pop off without you touching it when the bike is folded.

- that's normal. The seat isn't designed to stay in place if your weight isn't on the saddle. This actually helps make it fast to fold.

Im guessing i should just take this bike back up to the shop and let them play with these things, but im afriad theyll take it away from me and I wont be able to enjoy my precioussssss...err i mean my new tikit
- sounds like you were sold old stock. I would take it back and ask for a new Tikit or a refund.

Give the stock gearing a chance. I like to ride fast and don't use really low gears on my other bikes. I find the Tikit gearing ideal for bombing around town. I can climb steep hills and crank out 30kph on the highway. I do use the full range and occasionally would like a slightly higher and slightly lower gear, but 95% of the time it's perfect and I like the simplicity of an 8 speed drivetrain.
