So, regardless of whatever fantasy Armstrong is currently having about returning, there is no guarantee that any strong team will take him, that the Tour organizers will allow him in the race (they did a good job of barring cyclists with suspected histories of doping during the 2008 race) or that he will be in the health and physical condition necessary to race next July.
But one thing for sure: Armstrong will NOT be standing on the podium in Paris at the end of the race in 2009.
So you won't mind it if we save this little gem and rub your face in
it, too, next year?
