Possibly but he's already got 175's and anything longer is a specialty item. Also, I think the effect of crankarm length on pedalling effort is overstated. Going from 170 to 175 is < 3% improvement in lever arm and that's less than 2 teeth on a typical chainring.

A certainly agree that the real "cure" is more riding time.
