I was about to say that if I were carrying my helmet around, the easiest and most logical way to do it would be to put it on my head. Otherwise you've got a helmet bouncing around and getting in the way.

But then I realized that when I get off my bike, I take my helmet off immediately. I'd look like a tool just walking around with a bike helmet on my head.
