You're missing your own point. If the behaviours you describe are not cultural norms anymore, there's no reason to be offended when someone doesn't observe them.
I never said I was offended. However, the fact that the cultural norms have changed does disappoint me; I see it as evidence that we're all more rude than our ancestors. Personally, I wish I could live in a culture with modern technology but with the manners and morals of the Regency, Victorian or Edwardian eras.
